Kane - No Surrender

Kane is one of the most popular Dutch rockbands. We designed a few albums for them in the last few years and No Surrender is their latest album.

The client: Kane Records.

The briefing: Design a visual identity for the the band and use it to create the artwork of their album and singles. Most important is to portray Kane as a total rockband, not just a singer and a guitar player. And to capture the mood of the band at the moment.

The result: We didn't want to use a posed photograph of the band but rather recall the image people have in their heads of seeing the band live. That's why we created a big typographic logo as the main image. The big bold letters represent the level of ambition the band is known for. Silkscreened on the jewelcase and visually present on the web. Snapshots of the band members during performances, backstage and composing contribute to a warm and authentic feeling.
